The respondents all indicate YES to your question. That is, the GAEC envisions the document 'What Does It Mean to be Globally Aware?' being used to help mold the learning outcomes for programmatic assessment of the Global Awareness initiative. The GAEC is now in the process of developing Goals and Outcomes/Objectives for the Global Awareness Liberal Arts Initiative. We also plan on using the document "What Does It Mean to Be Globally Aware?" to guide formulation of assessment outcomes and shape our strategic plan among other things. But, before we proceed any further, we want to make sure that those outside of GAEC are more or less on the same page with our notion of "What Does It Mean to Be Globally Aware?" For example, do you envision it being used to help mold the learning outcomes for programmatic assessment of the Global Awareness initiative? This is a use that I foresaw in a recent conversation with Judy Dwyer. Our Committee members, Marshall Johnson and Lisa Larson, are willing to attend a faculty senate meeting for further presentation. If you need any further information, please do not hesitate to let me know. Thanks, Shin-Ping
