Job Title: Project Coordinator
Duties: Key duties of the position include, but are not limited to: completing promotional mailings and  providing follow-up phone calls when needed; maintaining press release information and checking accuracy of publicity listings; ensuring the Ballet’s website is continually updated; developing and maintaining sponsorship data files and the corresponding record keeping system; providing assistance as needed with fundraising events; facilitating communication between the Artistic Director, the Company, guest artists and the School of the Minnesota Ballet; arranging and cataloging archive photos and DVD’s; other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Ability in MS Office required. Knowledge of and ability to use internet-based research tools required. Previous marketing/public relations/development experience preferred. Previous experience with a non-profit organization helpful. Educational experience in marketing/public relations preferred.

Qualified candidate should be highly organized with attention to detail, possess basic computer skills and a pleasant telephone manner, and have the ability to follow directions with little supervision. Effective oral and written communication skills are essential.

Candidate must be able to develop own ideas and build upon the ideas of others in a team environment. A “will do” attitude is essential. Candidate must be able to work independently with a variety of projects at the same time and adhere to tight deadlines. Self-motivation, flexibility, resourcefulness, and optimism are necessary qualities.

Passion for dance and/or familiarity with the Minnesota Ballet appreciated.

Wage: Negotiable
Hours: 15-18 hours/week. Mostly days with some evenings and weekends as needed. This is a temporary position to conclude when funding is depleted (anticipated end date is May 1, 2009).
