| Job title: Naturalist |
| Duties: Design and implement a naturalist program for children and adults at a beautiful wilderness resort on the edge of the BWCAW. A "naturalist" program has been in place for many years, but it gradually became little more than a kids' crafts program. The new naturalist should be comfortable working with children's activities, but also be able to design instruction and activities for adults and families. |
| Qualifications: Knowledgeable about the natural world, the outdoors and the environment of northern Minnesota. Biology, forestry or education background helpful. Able to be very physically active in an outdoors. Should be enthusiastic, organized, creative and have excellent personal interaction skills. This position will allow the naturalist a great deal of autonomy in writing and designing curriculum, so the ability to be self-directed and independent is essential. Guest interaction will be a large part of the position, so a neat, clean physical appearance is important. |

| Job title: Housekeeping and Front Desk (employees will shift between both jobs) |
|
Duties: Housekeeping: Bearskin Lodge is extremely proud of our housekeeping team. The superior condition and cleanliness of Bearskin cabins and lodges are the keys to our success. We are looking for detail-oriented individuals who can work quickly, alone or in teams, and take pride in a job well done. We will be hiring 3 more people for our housekeeping team for this summer. Most of our cabins "turn over" on Saturday and Sunday, so staff members can expect to always work on those days. Schedule will vary during the week; housekeepers will have an opportunity to work in other positions on weekdays. If you love the outdoors, you will have many available hours to get outside and enjoy nature, but not usually on weekend days. Front desk: Front desk staff are our main contact with the public. We are looking for friendly and organized people to maintain our excellent guest service. Duties include taking reservations, checking in and out guests, answering questions, and running the cash register. A well-groomed appearance is necessary. This summer we are not hiring anyone for strictly the front desk, but housekeepers and maintenance employees will have the opportunity to work in this position during the week to add a little variety to their schedule. |
