UW-Superior Job Location & Development Program

The University of Wisconsin-Superior Job Location and Development (JLD) Program is designed to assist university students with securing part-time employment in the community. Businesses, organizations, and individuals can use this service to recruit students for their job openings free of charge. Students can use the JLD Program as a resource in identifying local employment opportunities. Job openings will be posted on the Financial Aid Web Site.

Benefits of the JLD Program

Employer Benefits: Student Benefits:
  • Free advertising of your job openings

  • Access to qualified, motivated applicants

  • Greater flexibility in work scheduling

  • Develop valuable work experience

  • Earn money for college

  • Work in varied environments

Employer Participation in the JLD Program

Businesses and organizations may post their job openings by completing a Job Posting form and submitting it to the UW-Superior Financial Aid office. Job postings may also be listed by calling (715) 394-8393. Postings will remain up for 1 month, or until positions are filled.

You will be contacted to determine if you've hired a UW-Superior student, and asked information about the student(s) you've hired (name, wage & approximate number of hours worked weekly). This information will be used to justify federal funding of the JLD program. It is submitted collectively, without employer or student being identified.

PLEASE NOTE: JLD POSITIONS SHALL NOT DISPLACE EMPLOYEES OR IMPAIR EXISTING CONTRACTS FOR SERVICES.
