Transfer Orientation - First Year Experience

First Year Experience

Transfer Orientation

We are excited you have chosen UW-Superior as the place at which you are continuing your college experience. Since you have already begun your experience at a previous institution, we know that you may have a good sense of what college life is like. However, we also know it can be challenging to start again at a new institution. First Year Experience would like to assist you with that transition and help you become comfortable and familiar with our campus.

Orientation

As a means to help you get better acquainted with UW-Superior, we offer a condensed orientation for transfer students with 22 or more credits. (Transfer students and freshmen with 21 credits or less are required to attend SOAR). This program will take place during the Weekend of Welcome (WoW) on Wednesday, September 1st (schedule coming soon!). The orientation will cover information about a variety of services and resources on our campus. In addition participants will participate in the Induction Ceremony and New Beginnings Luncheon which are your official introduction and entrance into the UW-Superior community. Please keep in mind that all new students (freshmen and transfers) are charged a non-refundable new student fee regardless of whether they attend SOAR/Orientation, WoW or any other First Year programs. It is to your advantage to attend these programs in order to help you become more familiar with UW-Superior and to help you successfully integrate into your new community.
