Travel Information

For those traveling from out of town, there are several options for overnight accommodations in the Superior and Duluth area.

Follow the link for a list of local hotels.

On-Campus (for SOAR only)
Parents and family wishing to stay in the halls for the SOAR session MUST call to make a reservation for Guest Housing through the Residence Life office at 715-394-8438. Filling out this registration DOES NOT automatically sign parents/family up for housing. Guest Housing for parents and family during SOAR may be available for a minimal fee. To check availability, contact the Residence Life office after May 1st at 715-394-8438.

Please keep in mind that students attending SOAR may stay in the halls at no cost. They should indicate this on their SOAR registration form.  It is a great way for your student to get to know their peers and get a feel for what it's like to live on campus.

UW-Superior is located in the center of Superior, WI on the corner of Belknap St. and Catlin Ave.  For those traveling from out of town, you can view the Maps and Directions page to help you find your way to campus.

Parking for SOAR

When you arrive on campus, please park in Lot 2 (view Map).  This Lot is located off of Catlin Avenue.  Parking in Lot 2 for SOAR is free.  Free parking in Lot 2 does not include reserved, metered, handicapped, 10 minute parking, or other posted stalls.  Violators will be ticketed.  Those staying overnight will need to move their  vehicles to the appropriate parking lot by 10pm the night of the first day.  See details below.

SOAR Overnight Parking
Students and guests who are opting to stay overnight with us in the residence halls during SOAR will need to move their vehicles to the parking lot directly behind the hall they are staying in by 10pm the evening of the first day.  Vehicles remaining in Lot 2 overnight will be ticketed.
