Gender Equity Resource Center
The Gender Equity Resource Center, also referred to as the GERC, is a student support center within the Department of Student Support & Engagement. The center is physically located at 1031 Swenson Hall. Our goal is to empower and support all campus members of any gender and sexual identity through education, communal connections, experiences of self-reflection and personal development.
Programs and services offered through the GERC achieve the mission to provide our campus community with support, education, resources, awareness and advocacy in these key areas:
The GERC welcomes and encourages all students to engage with topics related to gender equity. To do this, we strive to offer an open and safe environment where students can:
- Lounge, hangout, and study
- Socialize, engage with others, and find community
- Seek out any resources needed for support in our local area
- Meet with professional staff as desired or needed for any individual support or one-on-one conversation
Below you can find additional information on what is offered as a part of our services and programming. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any questions or if there is anything our staff can do to assist you in your experience at UW-Superior!
