Walk a Mile in HER Shoes

Posted on Sep 28, 2012
Raise Funds for the White Ribbon Campaign

On Saturday, December 1st, the campus and community is invited to "step out" in your best shoes in an effort to raise money for the White Ribbon Campaign, an organization that aims to stop violence against women.  "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes" is one of many of walks done all over the world.  "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes" is a mile walk where each participant raises pledges and then walks a mile in "Her" shoes, meaning, high heels. The walk is not a race, so it can be done at your own pace. There will also be food, live music, vendors, and prizes for the participants who receive the most pledges!

Registration:If you are interested in participating, please register as soon as you can.  You may also register at the door on Saturday, December 1st.  (Note: registering a head of time will help insure that you will receive an event t-shirts.)

Craft vendors and organizations also are needed to display their crafts and information.  The tables will be set up in the lobby of the Marcovich Wellness Center.  If you sell crafts or other items and would like to have a table at this event, please contact Tim Sislo at tsislo1@uwsuper.edu.  The cost of having a table is $30. (Fees will be waived for other charity organizations.)
