Ann graduated from UWS in 1971 with a BA in Biology and from UW-Madison Medical School in 1975. Her residency in Ob-Gyn was at Jackson Memorial Hospital, University of Miami School of Medicine in Miami, Fl. where she was Chief Resident in her last year.  Her practice began in Superior where she was the first female Ob-Gyn physician in the area.  In 1990 she joined Northland Ob-Gyn Associates in Duluth where she practiced until retiring in 2009. Ann was awarded the "Teacher of the Year" award from the Duluth Family Practice Residency Program, and during her years in practice she was elected as Chief of Ob-Gyn at St. Luke's Hospital and Chief of Staff at St. Luke's Hospital. She also served as Medical Director of the Care North Health System for several years.

Ann is widowed, and since her retirement enjoys fishing, travel, skiing and spending time volunteering.
