BERYL ROOT PANTALEO   

Beryl Root Pantaleo was born and raised in Superior, Wisconsin. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Superior in June 1972 with a bachelor's degree in English Literature.  That same year she married Peter Pantaleo, Class of 1971.  

Beryl's professional life was in the public or not-for-profit sector.  In the 1970's she worked as a Research Assistant and Committee Staff for the North Dakota Legislative Assembly in Bismarck, North Dakota.  She was the Administrator of the Legislative Assembly when she resigned in 1979 to move to New York City with her husband.  There she was employed by New York University as the Director of Administrative Services in the Graduate School of Administration.  

In 1985, Beryl decided to dedicate herself full-time to raising her children and became active in volunteer work in her community and children's' schools.  She has served many organizations and oftentimes as a Trustee or Director.  Currently, she is active in the Women's National Republic Club and the New York City Central Park Conservancy.  She also works in the Park as a Gardener's Assistant.  

Beryl and her family reside in Manhattan, where her husband is a practicing attorney and her married daughter is a photojournalist. Her son is a sophomore at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.
