Dave is a 1978 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Superior with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Studies and German. He has served as the District Director for Congressman Sean Duffy since January 2011.  Originally from Hazlehurst, WI, Dave started his professional career as a high school teacher at Lakeland High School in Minocqua, WI.  Dave is a current member of the Wausau Rotary and serves on the Board of Directors of Rotary District 6220.  He is also a member of the Board of Curators of the State Historical Society of Wisconsin and the Board of Directors of Kids Voting Wisconsin-Marathon County, and Secretary of the Republican Party of Wisconsin.

Dave and his wife June currently reside in Wausau, WI.  They have two married daughters.
