Steve is a 1981 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Superior with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He is Vice President and Controller of ALLETE, Inc., a Duluth, MN based energy company that includes Minnesota Power.  Steve and his wife Britt (also a UW-Superior alumnus)  have been married for 28 years and reside in Superior, WI.  They have three children, including one that will graduate in May 2012 from the University of Wisconsin-Superior.
