It is in this spirit that we ask you, our colleagues, to join us in supporting the UW-Superior Foundation. Your gift helps further the mission that we all work to fulfill each day. In addition, gifts from employees help demonstrate that those closest to the University believe in its mission and are willing to support it financially.
There are many ways to give and with payroll deduction, it's easy to give through your paycheck. Participation is the goal and every gift makes a difference in the lives of our students. You also get to decide where you want your gift to go. Let us know if you have questions, we're here to help!

"I had the good fortune to come to UW-Superior in 1994 as a student and be a part of the hockey program for four years. I played on some great teams and established some friendships that will undoubtedly last a lifetime. I received both my undergraduate and Master's degrees from here, and the education and experiences UW-Superior provided have afforded me many professional opportunities, including the chance to broadcast sporting events on the radio, which has developed into a passion in my life. I give to UW-Superior and my family established a scholarship in my father's memory that benefits a student working in radio at KUWS because I want every student who attends this great institution to have the same tremendous, impactful experience and receive the same first-rate education that I did."

"In the short time that I have been here, I can clearly see the amazing opportunities UW-Superior has for its students, faculty, staff and community. The UW-Superior campus has been and continues to be transformed right before our very eyes. By giving to the UW-Superior Foundation, I feel that I am part of a very special team that is helping this transformation happen. Join me and say "YES" to Yellowjackets!"
Jason Young, MA
Development Officer

"I give to the Campus Recreation Foundation Account with the hopes that our department can support or give back to someone/something in need. The intention is to be there as a "back up" for a student in need, a great department need that isn't supported by other funding, or for something else that is vital to the campus within the department that can't otherwise be funded. I know it's a small amount that is given each time, but every little bit adds up. Our student staff and employees give so much of their time to make our department a success, that if this can be used to show appreciation or support for a better future, that will make me happy. It just feels good to give!!!!!!"

Assistant Director - Programs
Campus Recreation

"I give to the UW-Superior Foundation because I truly believe that the experiences I have had over the past 12 years as a staff member at UW-Superior have had a profound impact on my life and my future. Having had the privilege to work with so many students, on campus and at a distance, with so many different backgrounds and experiences continually expands my understanding of the world. Our students, faculty, and staff have all helped me grow as a person and a professional. By giving to the campus I fell I am investing in something that will touch and better the lives of all members of our campus community."
Joe Kmiech III
Director, Technology Support Services

"I give because I remember scholarships made it possible for me to earn my UW-Superior degree. I also like to support the university organizations that have made a difference to me, especially KUWS radio. Our beautiful and functional new and renewed buildings have been possible only through contributions; we're enjoying them, but the funding is not yet complete. These are all good reasons to help the university as we help make a better future possible for our students."
Peter Nordgren
Interim Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Outreach
"Lately, our Chemistry and Physics Program has done quite a bit of recruitment, and it shows in increased enrollments. This, in turn, makes it important to raise money for additional instrumentation and scholarships. We came up with the idea of Super Donor Periodic Table to help raise funds, and felt strongly about giving to support it. If a faculty or staff member (or a department) is looking for a "fun" way to support our students as part of the campaign, the Super Donor Periodic Table might be for them!"
Michael A. Waxman, Ph.D.
Professor of Chemistry
"Through donations to scholarships and equipment funds, talented and hardworking students are provided with opportunities to achieve their goals. I'm proud of the achievements of our graduates and I give because I want to do my small part in keeping these opportunities available for future students."
James Lane
Professor Of Chemistry

"Having worked at UW-Superior for 2 ½ years now, I see a lot of the day to day financial needs of students, faculty, and staff as I work in Residence Life. I have taken the opportunity to serve as one of the few academic staff members who instruct a First Year Seminar, and have chosen to donate my salary from that educational endeavor to establish and fund a development account in Campus Life. Within Campus Life are several departments that directly impact the daily experience of UW-Superior students, from programming to student organizations, from residence halls to student health. With this additional funding, the staff working in Campus Life will be able to provide greater service to meet the increasing needs of our UW-Superior students."
Mickey Fitch
Assistant Director of Residence Life
