Assistant Professor, Communication Studies (Department of Communicating Arts)
Assistant Professor of Communication Studies, tenure-track
The Department of Communicating Arts at the University of Wisconsin-Superior seeks a Communication Studies generalist (interpersonal, group, conflict, intercultural, gender) to teach the department's Introduction to Communication general education course, and a variety of classes in the Communication program area at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Duties also include academic advising, senior capstone supervision, graduate thesis committee work, curriculum development, department and university service, as well as productive scholarship in Communication Studies.

The successful candidate will be dynamic, energetic, creative, and engaging. The successful candidate will demonstrate commitment to the public liberal arts mission and to quality teaching and learning methods. Willingness and interest in utilizing technology in the classroom strongly preferred. The successful candidate must be committed to the highest ethical standards and demonstrate effective leadership and teamwork skills.

The Communication program is one of three primary areas in the Communicating Arts Department (Communication, Media, Theatre) offering both undergraduate and graduate (M.A.) degrees. Communication offers a balance between theory and practice, as well as a fully on-line undergraduate major.
