Assistant Professor (Tenure Track), Economics (Sustainable Management)

POSITION NO:

DUTIES:

Teach Sustainable Management, Economics, and other courses at the undergraduate level as assigned by the Department Chair. Advise students. Maintain appropriate blend of quality teaching, service, and scholarly activity. Show evidence of professional growth through high-level professional activities. Provide professionally related services and activities to the community.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

  • Ph.D. in Economics, Resource Economics, Ecological Economics, or closely related field.
  • Experience in teaching at the university level.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

  • Demonstrated commitment to quality teaching and learning methods.
  • Willingness to teach online courses at the undergraduate level in the Sustainable Management major, including Economics in Society and Sustainability and International Development and Sustainability. 
  • Ability to teach a range of courses at the undergraduate level in the Economics major.  
  • Willingness and interest in utilizing technology in the classroom strongly preferred.
  • The successful candidate will be dynamic, energetic, creative, and engaging.  The successful candidate will demonstrate commitment to the University's public liberal arts mission, which includes undergraduate research.
  • The successful candidate must be committed to the highest ethical standards and demonstrate effective leadership and teamwork skills.

SALARY:

UW-S offers a salary commensurate with qualifications and experience and an attractive benefits package, including health insurance coverage for domestic partners and their eligible dependents.
