2012 Leadership Seminar Series
Join us for specialized training from UWS faculty and staff, as well as community professionals in the areas of Diversity & Social Justice and Community Engagement. These seminars are designed to give students the tools they need to succeed on our ever-changing campus and in the community after graduation. We will discuss some hard topics and even approach some old topics in new ways!
Spring 2013- Myths & Misconceptions
Gender and Sex Identities:Discuss the impact of assumptions made on people that identify against the social norms of sex and gender. February 13th
Veteran Status:Gain awareness of the challenges and stereotypes veteran students face as they try to adjust back into the civilian world. February 20th
Disabilities: Discover how people with disabilities must overcome unique challenges and the negative connotations that come with it. February 27th
All seminars will be held in the Yellowjacket Union Room 201 from 7 - 8pm
