Materials are checked out at the Circulation Desk located on the First floor of the JDH Library. A valid UW-Superior ID is required for all check outs. Students, Staff, and Faculty from area colleges and UW-System schools are also granted circulation privileges with a valid ID from their home institution.

**Reserve materials have varying loan periods. The instructors who place the materials on reserve are responsible for determining the length of a given loan. Some materials may be checked out over night.
Materials may be renewed for one loan period (28 days). Renewals may be made online by accessing my record, in person, or by phone 715-394-8343.
Campus email will be used to remind patrons of due dates, notify patrons of the arrival of materials from interlibrary loan and universal borrowing, fines and fees, and cancellation notices.
A fine of 10 cents per day, up to a maximum of $10.00 per item, is charged for over due books. The fine for overdue reserve items and video materials is $1.00 a day. Upon return of the item, a fine notice is sent out notifying the patron of fines that have accrued. If an item is fifty days overdue due, the patron is sent a bill for replacement costs of $60.00 per book and a processing fee of $15.00. The replacement cost for videos is $115.00. If the actual replacement charge is greater than $115 the current replacement cost plus shipping and handling charges will be assessed along with the processing fee. Patrons with fines of $5.00 or more will have a hold placed on their records. Contact the circulation desk if you have questions about fines and fees.
