What: 17th Annual Cultural Night
Location: Yellowjacket Union (dinner) and Thorpe Langley Auditorium (performance)
An international dinner is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the YU Great Room. Dine on international delights from Nepalese chicken curry to Thai cucumber salad to Saudi Arabian mousakka, from Bahamian Guava Duff to a Japanese zunda shake.
Cultural performances by students and the UW-Superior community start at 7 p.m. in Thorpe Langley Auditorium. The show includes a mix of more than a dozen traditional and contemporary acts, including dance and music from Sri Lanka, Thailand, Nepal and Africa and the latest K-Pop moves from South Korea and Idol Warring Period/Otaku culture straight from Japan.
Students: $9 for dinner and show, $5 for show only. Non-students: $15 for dinnner and show, $10 for show only. Buy tickets in the YU atrium today and Friday, at the Office of International Programs, 337 Old Main, and at the events.
Cultural Night is sponsored by the World Student Association (WSA), one of the largest student organizations at UW-Superior. It is a group of energetic and enthusiastic people passionate about embracing and celebrating differences on campus, multicultural awareness, and building connections among people from different walks of life.
