UW-Superior student Brooke Collins will be this week's guest voice of the UW System's "Knowledge Powers Wisconsin" campaign, taking her turn on the @UWpowersMe Twitter account September 16-22.

Collins joins several others from the UW-Superior community who recently have tweeted for UWPowersMe. Just last week, Zoe Scherer a sophomore was the first student of the new school year featured. This also marked the first time UW-Superior was highlighted in back to back weeks. Back in August, Buzz the UW-Superior mascot was the first mascot to tweet for @UWpowersMe. Staff members Mickey Fitch and Jordan Appicelli have also shared their experiences as well; along with senior Derek Krivinchuk.

Collins is a sophomore psychology major with a gender studies minor. She is also in her first year as a resident assistant in the newly renovated Hawkes Hall. In her free time she likes to read, knit/crochet and make earrings. Otherwise when she is on campus enjoys hanging out with friends and doing homework. Collins also has a dog back home named Buttons. The Minocqua, Wisconsin native added, "When I am with my family we are out on Lake Superior as much as possible boating around the Apostle Island."

The @UWpowersMe Twitter account allows mascots, students, faculty, alumni - even chancellors - the opportunity to take control for one week, telling their UW story as only they can. It is a component of the social media arm of "Knowledge Powers Wisconsin," the campaign that highlights how the UW System powers economic growth in Wisconsin, improving the state's competitive edge by leveraging human capital, supporting business and industry and strengthening local communities.
