The UW-Superior Visiting Writers Series is proud to announce that poet & editor Darren C. Demaree will be reading his poetry on Monday, April 28th, at 5:30pm at the Jim Dan Hill Library.
This is a free event and open to the public.
Darren C. Demaree lives, writes, and teaches in Columbus, Ohio. His poems have been published in many journals over the years, including The Scapegoat Review, Brick Rhetoric, California Quarterly, Another Chicago Magazine, and many more. Demaree's first book of poetry, As We Refer to Our Bodies, was released last year by 8th House Publishing. His second, Temporary Champions is forthcoming from Main Street Rag and his third, Not for Art Nor Prayer is expected in 2015 from 8th House Publishing. Demaree is also a founding editor of AltOhio.com, an arts/culture/lifestyle website, and Ovenbird Poetry, an online review of poetry and poetic criticism.
