Noted economics correspondent and author Chris Farrell will speak on "The State of the Economy" at noon Friday at the University of Wisconsin-Superior.
His talk takes place in Erlenbach Lecture Hall in Swenson Hall, 1610 Weeks Ave., Superior.
Farrell, author of "The New Frugality: How to Consume Less, Save More, and Live Better," is economics editor for Marketplace Money, the weekly one-hour personal finance program produced by American Public Media.
He also is a frequent contributor to Marketplace Morning and Marketplace, daily economics news programs, and is chief economics correspondent for American RadioWorks, the largest producer of long-form documentaries in public radio.
Farrell's presentation is free and open to the public and was made possible by a gift from the Shippar-Beam Foundation of the UW-Superior Foundation.
