Over 90 employers took part in the Head of the Lakes Job and Internship Fair.

Over 90 employers took part in the Head of the Lakes Job and Internship Fair.

Employment was the focus on the UW-Superior campus on Wednesday. Full-time, part-time and internships were the topic of the day.

The University of Wisconsin - Superior hosted more than 90 employers on Wednesday, February 12, in the Yellowjacket Union Great Room as part of the Head of the Lakes Spring Job & Internship Fair.

Held in partnership with the Career Services offices from University of Wisconsin - Superior, the College of St. Scholastica, and the University of Minnesota, Duluth, UW-Superior was hosting the area's regional spring job and internship fair for students, alumni, and community members free of charge.

More than 90 employers from the Twin Ports and beyond were available to meet, network, and recruit for internships, seasonal work, part-time, full-time, and volunteer positions. All students in the Twin Ports were encouraged to take part in this free professional experience sponsored by Sherwin Williams, St Luke's, Northwestern Mutual, Waddell & Reed, and Sansio.

Students were able to:

· Meet face-to-face with human resources specialists

· Network with many employers under the same roof at the same time

· Find out what recruiters are really looking for

· Receive job-search advice from recruiters

· Increase networking contacts

· Gather and obtain information about a major and or career

· Explore various aspects of the job market

Professional dress and resumes were advised for all attendees. Business types ranged from small to large corporations with many corporate representatives saying they were happy to attend. For follow-up information on the event, contact the UW-Superior Career Services office, at 715-304-8024 or
