Psychology students present research at conference

Bill Cradick is ready for questions about his psychology research work. He was among eight UW-Superior students who attended the Midwestern Psychological Association annual meeting.

Eight UW-Superior students -- including three who presented their undergraduate research projects -- attended the annual meeting of the Midwestern Psychological Association held May 2-5 in Chicago.

Students presenting research posters were:

  • Laura Kubisch of Hortonville, Wis., who is majoring in psychology and art therapy major, presented "The Importance of Priming Gratitude on Helping Behavior."

  • Karina Siu Siu, a psychology and peace studies major from Tegucigalpa, Honduras, presented "Intercultural Communication: Greetings with Cultural Awareness."

  • Bill Cradick, a psychology major from Waconia, Minn., presented "Lexical Access in Veterans and non-Veterans."
     

Also attending the conference from UW-Superior were Justin Faryna, Angela Castellini, Brenna Edman, Jenna Osterlund, and Dale Anderson.

The students' trip was sponsored by Psi Chi and the Inkblots psychology club.
