The Duluth News Tribune's 2012 "20 Under 40" recognition of community leaders includes seven alumni of UW-Superior's undergraduate, graduate or continuing education programs.

Each year the newspaper recognizes 20 people under age 40 who are leaders in their work, community, and local organizations. As David Chura, holder of a certificate in nonprofit administration from UW-Superior, said, "Everyone can make a contribution and in my opinion, we have an obligation to do so."
