Nine University of Wisconsin-Superior students will travel to Montana later this month to help build affordable housing during the university's annual Alternative Spring Break trip.
During the week of March 17-26 the students will spend their spring break working alongside other volunteers to build simple, decent and affordable houses as part of the Habitat for Humanity Collegiate Challenge. The students chose to work in Kalispell, a popular resort city where high-priced housing is beyond the reach of many local residents.
Alternative Spring Break is a popular learning and service experience at UW-Superior. It offers civic-minded students an opportunity to do something useful with their spring break while seeing another part of the country.
Students participating are:
