After reviewing several high-quality submissions, a campus selection committee has chosen a new alma mater for UW-Superior.

Committee members received several submissions and narrowed the field of finalists to three. Throughout the selection process, committee members did not know the names of the people who submitted entries.

The final three submissions were performed on campus last week. Recordings of each submission were posted online to allow for comment from students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends. 

The song honoring the university was submitted by Neil and Faith Hensrud. Neil Hensrud is a retired professor and Faith Hensrud is interim provost.

The inaugural performance of the new alma mater will take place at Chancellor Renée Wachter's Inauguration on April 12.
