Hi there! My name is Marsha Francis, and I am new to the Office of Multicultural Affairs this year.  I work Mondays and Tuesdays here, and the other days I work for the McNair Scholars Program.  A little bit about me:  I thoroughly enjoy the traditional martial arts of Tae Kwon Do and Tai Chi.  My schedule works around my martial arts.  I graduated from UWS with a Bachelor's degree in Indian Cultural Studies, Individualized major (2002), and I received my Master's in PK - 12 School Counseling (2004), also from UWS.  Because of my personal experiences, I designed both of my degrees to focus on minority populations, but mainly Asian and Ojibwe.  I am currently a "dissertator" through Argosy University where I am an Ed D student.  My dissertation is on the first generation and non-first generation underrepresented McNair Scholars and support (financial, academic, personal, etc.) in terms of persistence and graduation from graduate school programs.  I look forward to working with you all!
