The University of Wisconsin-Superior, University of Minnesota-Duluth, College of St. Scholastica and Lake Superior College will be hosting their 2nd Annual Intercollegiate American Indian Storytelling Event:  Sharing Our Gifts on March 6, 2010 at the University of Wisconsin-Superior Yellowjacket Union's "The Great Room" starting with a continental breakfast at 9 AM.

Gifted storytellers from all around Ojibwe & Lakota Country will share some of our Aadizookaanag (sacred gifts) of Ojibwe and Lakota language, culture and history with students, faculty/staff, and the greater community.

These stories are filled with adventure, sadness and humor, as well as American Indian values, beliefs, and way of life. They offer a look into the world of the Anishinaabeg and the Lakota.

This event is free and open to everyone in our communities. All ages are encouraged to attend as our communities are strengthened through the participation of families and multiple generations.

Lunch is on your own but will be followed by more Storytelling at 1 PM.

INVITED/CONFIRMED STORYTELLERS:
* Amik Smallwood, Mille Lacs Ojibwe
* Dr. Linda LeGarde Grover, Boise Fort Ojibwe
* Sean Fahrlander, Mille Lacs Ojibwe
* Wesley Black Elk, Pine Ridge Lakota
