The University of Wisconsin-Superior's Office of Multicultural Affairs and First Nations Center have collaborated with Multicultural and American Indian Student Services Offices from the University of Minnesota-Duluth, College of St. Scholastica and Lake Superior College to host a gathering for all multicultural college students, and allies, in the Twin Ports area. Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College, Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College and Northland College students are also invited.
This fun, casual, and family fun event will occur on Thursday, October 4, 2012 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the University of Wisconsin-Superior campus. It will be hosted in Old Main buliding, Room 232. There will be a potluck and games for people to play.
The event is free. We encourage people to bring something for the potluck but it isn't required.
The idea behind this type of gathering is so that students from the varying campuses can get to know each other, to consider future collaborations amongst student organizations, to make some leadership connections and to support each other.
UW-Superior hopes to have a large attendance at this event. We want students and staff to wear their "black and gold" and/or logo apparel. If you should have any questions about this event please contact Ivy Vainio at 715-394-8415.
