The University of Wisconsin-System's Annual American Multicultural Student Leadership Conference (AMSLC) mission statement provides an opportunity for students of color and economically-disadvantaged students to come together and engage in lively discussions, hear inspiring speakers, develop networks, and celebrate their achievements in order to foster leadership and excellence.

At AMSLC, students will:

• Present their work in undergraduate research, scholarship and creative expression.
• Gain knowledge and skills to prepare for future opportunities.
• Engage with others within and across cultures.

In October 2013, a website for this conference will be created by the host campus - UW-Green Bay and at time there will be more direct information on this conference.

All new UW-Superior Freshman and incoming transfer students will be able to attend the conference for free. All other UW-Superior students who want to attend the conference need to submit a presentation proposal to present at the conference in one of the submission categories of research, visual arts and/or creative writing will have their registration fee waived through the Office of Multicultural Affairs. Transportation to and from the conference, and hotel accommodations will be provided.

Registration will happen through our office and information on how to register will come later.
