University; Graduate School (MA/Ph.D.)-The University of North Carolina at
Chapel Hill.

What classes I teach: U.S. History Through 1877, Latin America Since Independence, African American Voices, Introduction to Historical Research and Writing-History of Wisconsin, The Civil War and Reconstruction, The Sixties, The Shadow of the Mexican Revolution, Workers in Industrial America, The Construction of Race and Nation.

In one sentence what is your advice for students to be successful: Find
your passions, take on challenges, and stretch yourself to meet them.

What is your favorite book: 1984 by George Orwell

One fun fact about youI spent a summer working as a street musician in Cambridge, Massachusetts

Office Management/Accounting

Programs/services that you coordinate/provide (only list the names): Dean's Assistant for the Dean of Faculties Office. We work with Dept. Chairs and Dept. Associates as well as the Provost Office on Academic programs/policies/issues. Faculty & Academic Staff Development Grants, Dean's List, Faculty Retention/Tenure/Salary/Promotion/Post-Tenure,
and Faculty searches.

In one sentence what is your advice for students to be successful: Believe in yourself that you can achieve whatever goals you set in life, because life truly is what you make it!

What is your favorite book: Nursery rhymes - snuggled up with my grandkids reading to them.

One fun fact about youWe have a four-legged kid, Ilsa who's a 140 lbs
Great Dane - and her little sister is Lacey - Corgi/pug mix who's about 12 lbs.
Life is never dull!
