Major/Minor: Social Work

What drew you to UW-Superior?: Initially, it was the price. After experiencing the community integration aspect of the Social Work program and finding a home with the Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA), I know what is keeping me here.

What student organizations/extracurricular activities are you a part of and/or planning to be a part of: Social Work Student Association, United Council, Cru, and the OMA Peer Mentoring Program.

What are you looking forward to most during this upcoming year?: Finishing the research my classmates and I kicked-off last semester... So rewarding!

In one sentence, what is your advice to your peers about succeeding in college?: Get involved, use your planner, be yourself, and have a social life.

One "Fun Fact" about you: A fun fact about me is I grow fresh herbs (i.e. basil, cilantro, dill, etc.) in my home with three wonderful roommates, one of which is a Cru Bible study leader with me!

What are you looking forward to most during this upcoming year?: Meeting new people.

In one sentence, what is your advice to your peers about succeeding in college?: Get your homework completed on time and study for your tests.

One "Fun Fact" about you: I can speak fluent Spanish and I like to play sports.

The Office of Multicultural Affairs is incredibly excited to announce our new "Student Spotlight" program. We will spotlight both new and/or returning UW-Superior students each week throughout the academic year. We will spotlight these students on our office website, Facebook page, and student/staff digests.

UW-Superior students are the reason we are here and we truly want students to be successful. The Student Spotlight will help students to connect to various faculty, staff, students, and programs on this campus and vice versa. Having these connections will help students become successful.
