Major/Minor: Elementary Education

What drew you to UW-Superior? It was close to home and work! The education program and the updated buildings.

What student organizations/extracurricular activities are you a part of and/or planning to be a part of: One of my goals of next year is to be a part of a student organization. With my work schedule outside of work I have not looked too much into this! I have done some Academic Service Learning and am interested in anything with the education department as well as getting involved with the Office of Multicultural Affairs.

What are you looking forward to most during this upcoming year? My Education Intern work with Rivers2Lake at the Lake Superior National Estuarine Research Reserve. "Connecting students and teachers to our waters through interdisciplinary learning." -Rivers2Lake.

In one sentence, what is your advice to your peers about succeeding in college?  If you aren't ready to be in college or do not want to be here right now, take some time off. I did and now that I am back I am really enjoying it.

One "Fun Fact" about you: I traveled to Europe in 2009, one of my stops was Greece. Ever since then I have been itching to go back. I hope to travel in the near future and each year after that :)

What drew you to UW-Superior? My mom's friend introduced UWS to me.

What student organizations/extracurricular activities are you a part of/ planning to be a part of? World Student Association, Chinese Students and Scholars Association, Math and Computer Science Club, and Nontraditional Student and Veteran Center.

What are you looking forward to most during this upcoming year? Put more time on classes & homework.

In one sentence, what is your advice to your peers about succeeding in college? Study hard, but make sure you have time to hang out with friends and make more new friends.

The Office of Multicultural Affairs is incredibly excited to announce our new "Student Spotlight" program. We will spotlight both new and/or returning UW-Superior students each week throughout the academic year. We will spotlight these students on our office website, Facebook page, and student/staff digests.

UW-Superior students are the reason we are here and we truly want students to be successful. The Student Spotlight will help students to connect to various faculty, staff, students, and programs on this campus and vice versa. Having these connections will help students become successful.
