The Office of Multicultural Affairs wants you to meet:

New Student:

Sumaiya Gul

Sumaiya Gul

Hometown: Mardan, Pakistan

Year: New student with Junior status

Major: Applied Biosciences

What drew you to UW-Superior?: I am an exchange student under a program called Global Ugrad Pakistan and I didn't really know I was coming here, but I feel so lucky and special for getting the chance of being at the University of Superior for a semester.

What student organizations/extracurricular activities are you a part of and/or planning to be a part of?: I am a part of the Ping Pong Club, which I joined recently. I look forward to joining a community service club and some art related clubs.

What are you looking forward to most during this upcoming year?: I look forward to experience a whole new era. Learning new things and doing a lot of adventurous stuff which I didn't get a chance to do in Pakistan. I also want to make people learn more about Pakistan and remove any misconceptions they have about my country by giving my country's presentation.

One fun fact about you: The one fun fact about me is that I am open enough to laugh at myself. Most of the times I know when I am saying or doing something stupid, but I do it to bring a smile on other people's faces.

We will spotlight these students on our office website, Facebook page, and student/staff digests.
