Construction of the new Student Center began May 5, 2008. This project requires the permanent closing of Parking Lot #11 located next to the Rothwell Student Center. 16th Street regular through traffic and parking will also be closed.

Enter off Mortorelli Drive. Please use only parking designated for the WITC Confernce Center. A UW-Superior parking permit is required.

16th Street/Lot #2 - Metered/Handicapped/Regular Spaces - Handicapped parking signs and parking meters will be turned around to continue to provide 27 metered spaces, 6 handicapped spaces, and 11 regular spaces just inside of Lot #2 on the North side of the median.

UW-Superior has extended Lot #2 to Clough Avenue and added an entrance onto that street. Many spaces are available in this lot. Please note that Clough Avenue is one-way for southbound traffic).

This entire lot is now available for UW-Superior parkers most of the time. Please respect signs on days when the church is using part of the lot. All spaces that are PAINTED BLUE are STRICTLY FOR CHURCH VISITOR PARKING ONLY.

Spaces are available at the Newman Center Lot.

The former Mobil Gas Station has parking spaces (Red/Green Permits and Parking Meters). This parking lot is at the corner of Catlin Ave. and Belknap Street.

Parking will be legal on BOTH sides of Mortorelli Drive. Because of increased congestion, please slow down and use caution on this street.

1/2 price spaces are available for Lot #1 at Wessman Arena. This lot has plenty of spaces, and the five-block walk to the main campus can become part of your daily exercise routine, or you may catch the DTA Bus across the street in front of Superior High School.

• Drive with caution: Be aware that construction vehicles and heavy trucks will at all times be traveling along Catlin Ave. and 16th St. to reach the building site. Please slow down and use extra care in all parking areas.
• Escort to your car: The Campus Safety Office provides free escorts to your car in all university lots and all of these additional parking areas 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Call 394-8114 to arrange an escort.
• Upon demolition of the Rothwell Student Center: That site will be reconfigured into a parking lot. While not yet designed, we expect to have about 150 parking spaces available in that lot.
