Open Forums

Provost Markwood invited volunteers (members of the CIPT and Student Retention & Enrollment Committee) to help facilitate open forums in November 2008.  An open invitation went to campus as follows:

You are invited!
Building upon previous and current conversations, you are cordially invited to take part in a campus-wide discussion and brain storming session focusing on student retention and persistence.  Our goal will be to identify specific barriers to student retention & persistence at UW-Superior.  Faculty, Academic Staff, Classified Staff, Students and Community Members are being invited to participate. We will organize into facilitated small groups of 8-10 people armed with marker boards, post-it-notes and dots.  For your convenience there are two opportunities to participate:

          Tuesday, November 11^th from 3-5 p.m. 
          Wednesday, November 12^th from 6-8 p.m.

The information gathered from these sessions will be forwarded to the University Retention Committee.  This committee will be asked to identify those issues that are immediately actionable and those that need to be forwarded to governance or other review.  For planning purposes an RSVP is requested but not required. We look forward to your participation in this important conversation.
