Recreation Facilities

 

Ole Haugsrud Stadium
Ole Haugsrud Stadium is the University’s football complex.  The field is located on the corner of Belknap and Morterelli Drive. Ole Haugsrud is home to the Superior Stampede and the Superior High School Football teams. This facility seats approximately 3,000 fans.

Outdoor Track
The outdoor track adjacent to Wessman Arena was upgraded in 1999 with a new cushioned running surface and additional facilities to host meets. The 400 meter track was last resurfaced in the summer of 2005.

Ted Whereatt Field
Ted Whereatt Field is home to the Yellowjacket baseball team. The field dimensions are 325’ down the foul lines and 375’ to straight away center field.

Soccer Field
UW-Superior has a practice field located adjacent to the Ted Whereatt field. This facility is located about one-half block west of Catlin Avenue at Faxon Street on UW-Superior's South Campus.  The Yellowjacket soccer teams currently compete at the Superior High School Soccer fields.

HWC Field
The HWC field is located adjacent to the Health & Wellness Center.  The field is 60 yards wide and 120 yards long.  This space is designated for academic, athletic, and recreation activities.

Multi-Purpose Field A
Multi-purpose field A is located on the North end of the Health & Wellness Center off of Mortorelli Drive. The field is 60 yards wide and 130 yards long.  This field is used for academic, recreation and community activities.

Multi-Purpose Field B
Multi-purpose field B is located adjacent to the Ole Haugsrud Stadium.  The field is 40 yards wide and 100 yards long.  This field is used for academic, recreation and community activities.
