J-Term Policies and Fees

J-Term 2011

New Student Admissions for J-Term: Students should contact the Office of Admissions, Main 136, 715-394-8230 or the Graduate Studies Office, McCaskill 102, 715-394-8295 for information regarding admission. Only special/non-degree or re-entry applications will be processed for J-Term.  Priority application deadline for J-Term is December 1. Applications are available online.

Registration for J-Term: Students may register online or with a course request form in the Registrar's Office, Main 139, starting on the first day of the usual registration period in November and continuing to the first day of J-Term. Registrations after the first day of J-Term must be done in person through the Registrar's Office.

Payment Policy: New Questions regarding tuition should be directed to the Cashier's Office, Main 208, 715-394-8505. 

Financial Aid for J-Term: Costs associated with J-Term will be added to the preceding fall semester and aid eligibility determined accordingly.  When participating in a study abroad experience, a Financial Aid Revision Form, availabe at www.uwsuper.edu/finaid/forms must be completed and submitted to the Financial Aid Office.  If attending on-campus coursework, an email may be sent to finaid@uwsuper.edu letting us know the number of credits you plan to take for J-Term.

Administrative Drop: The first day Administrative Drop policy does not apply during J-Term. It is up to the student to drop any coursework.

Withdrawal from the University for J-Term: Students who register and decide not to attend before classes start must drop all courses by Sunday, December 26, 2010. Students withdrawing from courses after the beginning day of J-Term (December 27, 2010), must complete an official withdrawal card. The $50 withdrawal fee will apply for students who withdraw after the start of J-Term.

Probation/Dismissal: Because grades for J-Term are due after the spring term begins, students will not be placed on probation or dismissal as a result of the grades from J-Term.
