Checkout Spring 2013

HALLS CLOSE:6:00PM, Friday, May 17.You are expected to vacate your room 24 hours after your last final exam or no later than 6pm on Friday (whichever is sooner). Sign up at least 24 hours in advance for
a check out time with your RA.

Graduating Students: If you are participating in graduation, you must sign up with your RA (show a graduation receipt or provide other proof), to get permission to stay in the halls and vacate your room by 6:00 pm, Saturday, May 19, at no additional cost. If you miss the May 18 deadline, you will be charged $29/night if you stay beyond Friday, 6pm plus a $25 improper check-out fine.

Residents With a Final Exam Friday, 12 Noon or later: You must bring a copy of your class schedule and final exam schedule to your RA by Monday, May 13 to sign up to stay in the halls and check out no later than 12 Noon, Saturday, May 18, at no additional cost. If you miss the May 13 deadline, you will be charged $29/night to stay until 12 Noon on Saturday, plus $25 improper check out fine.

Express Check-out: New this year!  Express Checkout just like a hotel!  ANY resident of the halls can chose to checkout of their room on their own, no RA and appointment needed!  Simply clean your room and get it back to its original condition, pickup an express checkout envelope from the hall desk, and follow the step-by-step instructions on the sheet.  We know 90% of residents do a great checkout, so why not give you an option to make leaving even easier??? All responsibility goes on YOU for a good checkout, but without doing it with a staff member you accept any charges that come your way.  More info available on Facebook, posters in the halls, and with any Res Life staff member!

Residents staying in the halls over the summer: You must complete a summer housing contract with Residence Life by 12:00 Noon, Monday
May 13. You must also put an "occupied" sign on your door by 12
Noon, Saturday, May 18.These signs are available from your Hall Manager upon approval to stay beyond Friday, May 17. CMO residents will be able to move Saturday, May 18- Tuesday, May 21 and Ross residents will be able to move Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19. All check-ins will be done at the Crownhart Front Desk. All summer residents will need to do Express Checkouts from their spring room after they check in to their Crownhart room.

Mail: Mail is forwarded for six months to whatever address you provide on the forwarding address card upon check out. After that, it is returned to sender.

Fridge Return: Fridges should be returned to your front desk anytime from Monday, May 13-Friday, May 17 from 12:00 noon-10:00 pm. Please defrost your fridge at least 24 hours before you return it. Remember to place a
large towel under your fridge while it defrosts.

Early Check-In:

There is a $29/night charge for anyone who needs to check in before the designated check in date. Please call the Residence Life Office (715-394-8438) to make prior arrangements for an early check-in.
