    Small Businesses Learn How to Bid on Federal Projects

    Small businesses can register in the System for Awards Management (SAM) to become certified to bid on federal projects. On March 5th, 2013, the Wisconsin Small Business Development Center at UW-Superior helped coordinate a free workshop that provided information about registering in the SAM for local small businesses. Certified small businesses may be given preferential consideration when bidding on prime contracts and subcontracts for upcoming construction projects, including the new Multimodal Transit Center scheduled for construction beginning in spring 2014 in downtown Duluth.
