The following positions are available:

Student Body President and Vice President
Runs as a team; in the end, there can only be one

4 At-Large Senate Seats
Four Positions are available to represent the student body as a whole.

Departmental Senate Seats
Two (2) senate seats are open for each of the following departmental groupings:

The Departments of Business and Economics; Elementary Education

The Departments of Natural Science; Math and Computer Science; and Human Performance and Health Promotion

The Departments of Communicating Arts; Music; Visual Arts; and World Language Literature and Culture

The Departments of Social Inquiry; Human Behavior; Justice; and Diversity

Graduate Studies Senate Seat
One (1) seat is available to represent students in graduate studies.

To Run:
Must be a registered student and have a cumulative grade point average no lower than: 2.0 for Senator positions and 2.5 for the President and Vice-President positions.

For President and Vice-President, must receive at least 100 nomination signatures from the student body in order to appear on the ballot.

For Senators, must receive at least 35 nomination signatures from the student body in order to appear on the ballot.

       Hard Copies of Election Packets are available at the YU Information Desk.
       Election Packets will be due at the YU Information Desk no later than 
                                           4:00PM Tuesday, April 3rd
