UW-Superior is located on the western tip of Lake Superior in Superior, Wis., just across the St. Louis Bay from Duluth, MN. Officially, it's a single metropolitan area -- "Duluth-Superior, MN-WI".
There are two cities and two states -- but it's all just One Big Lake and One Big Outdoors.
Duluth's getting national exposure right now -- for good reason. But the Wisconsin Side has plenty of its own beauty too -- from Wisconsin Point, the South Shore and the Apostle Islands Sea Caves, to Chequamegon National Forest, the Brule River (a nationally ranked trout stream), and Amnicon Falls State Park -- you get the idea.
Not so outdoorsy? No problem.
You can learn how to get you in touch with the Outdoor You, whether through a Campus Rec learn-to-kayak session, a Superior Adventures trip, even a walk with your pals on Wisconsin Point.
