University Relations

Our Process

Whether you are developing a marketing piece on your own, or you lack the time or resources to do it yourself, University Relations is here to assist you.

Refer to the steps below, depending on whether you develop your own project, or University Relations develops it for you.

Projects Developed by Unit

  1. Create your materials.

  2. Submit your materials to University Relations for brand review. Please allow 2-4 days.

  3. University Relations will review the project.
    • If the project reflects and supports the university brand, University Relations will send you an approval email.
    • If it does not reflect or support the university brand, University Relations will send you "suggested changes" and/or "required changes." You must make required changes in order to receive approvals.

Projects Developed by University Relations

  1. Submit a service request, allowing for the following lead times. Contact Lynne Williams or call 715-394-8213 to discuss project timelines if you are unsure.
    Publications: Six (6) weeks prior to the time the publication is needed
    Video: Six (6) weeks prior to your desired publish date
    Other Marketing/Promotions: Three (3) weeks prior to event or publish date

  2. Identify your objective, audience, call-to-action, and your desired medium/channel. University Relations will help you define this.

  3. Provide us with any relevant background information, such as past or current materials.

  4. Review content thoroughly and reply with feedback. University Relations will incorporate your feedback, send it back to you for final approval, and begin the design process.

  5. Review designed material and reply with feedback. University Relations will incorporate feedback and finalize.

  6. Either the unit or University Relations will produce the materials, as discussed at the onset of the project.
