The UW-Superior Academic Staff Senate is an official University governance organization. All academic staff members are welcome to attend its meetings and are encouraged to serve on the Senate.

Open Informational Forum for all Academic Staff

All Academic Staff are invited to attend an informational open forum on the topics of Unit Clarification and Collective Bargaining. This forum is hosted by Academic Staff Senate to provide information on these topics and assure you understand your rights as academic staff.

Academic Staff Open Forums

Academic Staff Senate and Human Resources recently offered open forums entitled, “Little Known Facts about Academic Staff.” These forums addressed such things as: “Who are we? What’s my title and how did I get that? What is the promotion process? Who is Hayes Hill? And other little known issues.” For those who were unable to attend one of the sessions, the power-point presentation is available for you to view. View presentation.

Academic Staff Mentoring Program

In Fall 2009 the Academic Staff Senate is piloting an Academic Staff Mentoring Program to assist new academic staff members with their transition into their new position here at UW-Superior. For more information on the program and how you can become a mentor, please check out our Mentoring Program Brochure. Training for new mentors is set for Friday, August 28, 2009 from 8:30-10:00am in RSC 112.
