Dear Alumni and Friends of UW-Superior,
We all understand the importance of setting goals. Goals give us direction. Having goals means having a vision for the future. Campaign Superior: Higher Expectations represents a set of goals for the University of Wisconsin-Superior. We developed these goals after much discussion and careful contemplation among students, faculty, administrators, alumni and friends. We looked at everything that is -- and always has been -- a hallmark of a UW-Superior education: small classes, access to activities, students working closely with professors, undergraduate research, students getting first-hand experience. We then looked at what we need to do to strengthen and expand those hallmarks. We looked at how we could make sure every UW-Superior student gets those experiences before graduating. The goals we set for Campaign Superior represent the investments in people, programs and infrastructure needed to propel UW-Superior to its envisioned role as a leading public liberal arts institution. Yes, they are ambitious. But we firmly believe our students deserve nothing less. We are confident the alumni and friends of UW-Superior will unite to accomplish the goals of Campaign Superior. We will ensure that the men and women who come to our university will leave as skilled, knowledgeable graduates ready to become leaders in our society.
