"As a public liberal arts institution, UW-Superior must be dedicated to sharing with students and the larger community some of the central questions of our times and to offering up various ways to think about these issues. By bringing notable and expert speakers to campus, we can extend people's horizons and offer access to the kind of discussion that otherwise wouldn't happen. It also enables us to engage the students across the campus and across the disciplines. We're showing them that the issues addressed by the university are not confined to the classroom; they have to do with all of us."

The Annual Superior Fund

Friends of the University can gain a true and immediate sense of satisfaction by providing gifts that help UW-Superior meet the needs of today. That is the basis of the Superior Fund - a giving fund designed to support the annual operating plans of the University.

Annual Giving - $1 million
The Annual Superior Fund is the cornerstone of all donor support because it enables the University to pursue the most fundamentally important business of educating students. Such funds have been used to provide visiting lecturers, student research, faculty development and much-needed teaching equipment. The Annual Superior Fund provides the campus with a reliable source of external support to improve the overall learning experience of our students.

Restricted and Planned Giving - $1.5 million
Endowment, restricted and estate gifts are designed to serve the University for many years to come and to become a lasting legacy for the donors. For some, helping the University expand its endowment is akin to securing the future - especially during a predictable future of reduced state funding.

Bequests and other estates gifts are the ultimate expressions of commitment to the University. They often can provide significant support for specific and general University uses.

Finally, some donors have a specific purpose in mind for their gifts - different from the stated priorities of Campaign Superior. The University gratefully welcomes these gifts and restricts their use to match the donor's stated wishes.
