Director of Admissions

Position:          Director of Admissions

 

Duties:             The Director of Admissions is responsible for planning and directing the operations of the Admissions Office.  The position provides leadership in the development and implementation of recruiting and marketing strategies leading to student admissions and enrollment.  The primary objective for the Office of Admissions is to meet enrollment targets through recruitment of all student populations but not limited to new freshman, transfer and adult students.

 

Qualifications:

·         A Bachelor’s degree is required with a minimum of 3-5 years in progressively responsible admissions experience; preference given to Master’s Degree in Student Development or a related field

·         Strong leadership and administrative skills including planning, budgeting, resource management, marketing and supervision

·         Expertise in strategic enrollment management issues (predictive modeling)

·         Have a collaborative approach to problem resolution and a willingness to be proactive in improving services as part of a team

·         Experience with integrated students information systems (PeopleSoft preferred)

·         Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

·         Preference given for admissions experience in higher education

Salary

Range:             $60,000-$80,000

 

Starting

Date:                August 1, 2008 or as negotiated
