Student Services Specialist

Position:                      Student Activities Specialist (Student Services Specialist)

 

Summary of Duties:     The University of Wisconsin-Superior is accepting applications for the position of Student Activities Specialist.  This position oversees the student center program board, campus traditions, and the student involvement center.  This position also assists in marketing and promoting programs for campus life.  Some nights and weekends are required.  This position is a part of the division of Campus Life.

Required

Qualifications:             Bachelor’s Degree.  At least two years experience in college union board programming, campus event programming, student center operations or related area.  Knowledge of and commitment to the principles of student development and the college union idea within a liberal arts tradition..  Experience and/or training in marketing and graphic design.  Evidence of excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to use desktop publishing software to design promotional materials.  Ability to motivate and work closely with diverse groups of people.  Available to work occasional week nights and weekends.

 

Desirable

Qualifications:             Preference may be given to those with additional, demonstrated professional work experience supervising program/event development and/or student activities advising in the college environment.  Previous experience working with sound, light and other technical presentation equipment would also be desirable.   

 

Salary and

Benefits:                      Minimum salary $30,547 and excellent benefit package
