Position:           Policy and Planning Analyst

 

The Policy and Planning Analyst is responsible for planning, designing, organizing, controlling, conducting and directing operations and activities involved in the research, review, analysis, interpretation and reporting of a variety of data and information used in assessing institutional effectiveness, planning, accreditation and decision-making, enrollment management, state-level data needs and student outcomes assessment, and determining implications of practices, policies, measures and procedures.  This position will develop and implement related projects, studies, surveys and reporting systems and procedures. This position will support the college's strategic planning process and assist in maintaining the short-range, long-range, and departmental plans. This position receives direction and supervision from, and reports to, the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Informational and Instructional Technology and supervises staff assigned to the Office of Institutional Research and Planning.

Qualifications:    Terminal degree or equivalent experience.

Three years of institutional research experience.

 

Preferences:      · Experience in institutional/educational/social science research areas with a

broad knowledge of data interpretation, database design, statistical analysis, research design and assessment.

· Experience with the Higher Learning Commission’s Academic Quality

   Improvement Program  (AQIP) or similar program.

· Experience planning in a higher education environment

· Experience conducting queries in a student information system such as PeopleSoft

· Experience with student outcomes assessment

· Experience in a multicultural setting with diverse groups utilizing human relations skills
