Academic Technology CoordSupervises student computer lab consultants and staff. Hires student employees, creates schedules, evaluates performance, arranges training sessions, conducts meetings of student staff, communicates regularily with student employees.Desktop Support ( 25 % )
Communicates with laboratory and classroom computer users about applications and functional changes. Uses the Web, email, bulletin boards to keep users informed.
Services as consultant to faculty in academic computing applications including discipline specific software and research related applications. Recommends software & hardware configurations, technical standards and inplementation methods.
Participates in funding programs including Classroom & Lab Modernization, General Computer Access, Student Tech Fee to represent lab and classroom needs.
Participates in meetings related to instructional technology including University Tech Committee, Teaching Learning & Tech Roundtables, academic department meetings, ...
Provides instruction in the use of computing applications for students and faculty.
Operating System - Installs, upgrades, configures, and troubleshoots desktop operating systems.Network Administration Devices
Hardware - Installs, configures, tunes, and troubleshoots desktop hardware. Resolves problems with peripherals and network connectivity.
Application Software - Installs and maintains software packages to support a variety of academic programs.
